Joel B. Whitehead, the company’s founder, was one of the organizers
of the Rockford Board of Realtors and was its first president. He
was instrumental in establishing the Illinois Association of Real
Estate Boards and was its third  president.
Joel served on the Winnebago County Board of Supervisors and the
Rockford School Board. He was the first member of the Society of
Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and the only member here for
many years.
Loren L. Whitehead served the industry as its local and state president
and was district vice president of the Society of Induustrial and
Office Realtors (SIOR). He founded First Federal Savings & Loan
and was honored for his many years of service to the Rockford Board
of Education by having an elementary school named in his honor.
J.B. & Loren L. Whitehead Realtors developed and marketed major
industrial parks in this area.
John B. Whitehead served the community in leadership positions including
Rockford Memorial Hospital, City-County Planning Commission, Rockford
Park District, Rockford College, Rockford Rotary, Rockford Life
Insurance Company and United Bank as well as director and president
of Rockford Board of Realtors.

Dee and Stan Premo purchased the company from John Whitehead in 1998.
They owned and operated Premo & Associates, Realtors from 1972
to 1975 when Stan entered the home building and later the auto dealership
business. Dee joined Whitehead, Inc. Realtors as branch manager and
became a stockholder and executive vice president. Dee acquired professional
designations of GRI, CRS, CRB, served as president of Rockford Area
Association of Realtors, and was honored as Realtor of the Year. Together
again in real estate, Stan and Dee continue the Whitehead family tradition
of excellence that spans three centuries.
